Welcome to our little Rabbitry!

We enjoy Raising, Showing, Breeding and Selling, Show, Pet, and Meat Rabbits.

You know looking back on the last three years; the whole rabbit thing for us has been a great ride. The family bonding that it has done in our house has been worth every cent we have invested. It was free at first but bigger and better has defiantly changed it all.  You can make money in rabbits but that gets back to the bigger thing. As for us I think we are pretty much where we want to be for now. Family bonding is what happens when you have that common ground between you and your teenagers if all else fails we talk about bunnies, I think we have learn from each other instead of dad being that all knowing guy (a little humility goes a long way). We joined 4-H last year and the kids got to find some of there own humility as well even as hard as they worked but next year I think they will be handing out some as well, way to go kids! I would like to thank the kids in our 4-H for making this last year a year to remember it will all be even better next year. We look forward to coaching and growing with all of you. The Yakima fair was really fun this year our 4-H rabbit group did an excellent job and we were the largest group there. Way to go Ag. & Ec. Rabbit group. We really can make the best better!

We started with free rabbits but we found out very soon that we needed a better stock. We went to a couple of fairs and some how we got Ken Longs number and he was getting out rabbits just as we were getting in. Noelle had to have a Californian so we bought a few so we could breed them, and why we got out of them I will never know we had really nice stock and should have hung on to them a bit longer. Well it has to do with that bigger thing again. We also bought some real nice satins and some not so good ones we found you cant make nice ones, from bad ones thats for sure. Two of them were very nice though. The satins we found were not the temperament that we had hoped for at least the ones we had so we sold them all.

Our third breed is also my personal favorite and the one that has stood the test of time, French Lops and I think I can talk for all of 3M Rabbitry they are there favorite as well. We did find that the rabbit has to child size appropriate and French Lops are much bigger then littler kids can handle. So then came Mini Lops; this breed  has proven to be a very good breed to us. They live here very nicely. Mini lops seem to be easer to manage for the smaller people in the Rabbitry, and we found they make very good foster moms. Our last breed here at 3M Rabbitry is (ta-da) New Zealand; this is a breed that we started with poor stock and well it pretty much has stayed there not much to say about it except that we have them.

This is my page so I guess we can toot our own horn just a bit I thought the last year went pretty good Our 3M24 3Ms Broken Water won our/her first best in show at Benton Frankland fair and again at Yakima fair.
